Dear Friend,

With both the overwhelming sense of positivity and
optimism that is spreading around the globe and the
significant challenges we face, it appears that there
is a window of possibility open that can allow us to
leap into a new future together.

Today I want to share with you how we at EnlightenNext
are responding to this critical moment. Beginning this
year, we are taking everything we have learned over the
past twenty-two years of exploring and generating real
individual and cultural transformation, and we are
creating a way for thousands of Evolutionaries around
the world to actively participate in the evolution of
consciousness and culture through a yearly cycle of
events.

We call it the EnlightenNext Discovery Cycle. It
consists of both an annual spiritual retreat--called
Being and Becoming (kicking off this summer in Tuscany,
Italy) and an annual conference that explores--and
catalyzes--cultural transformation (the first one
scheduled to be held in 2010 in London, England). The
Cycle is already gaining a strong momentum. More than
130 people have registered for this summer's Being and
Becoming retreat, and it's sure to be a historic event.

In order to set some context about what the EnlightenNext
Discovery Cycle is, I'd like to also share with you how
the work of EnlightenNext has grown and evolved to this
point. My colleague and friend, EnlightenNext magazine
executive editor Carter Phipps, and I gave a talk on
that very subject this past fall at the Integral
Leadership in Action Conference in Boulder, Colorado.
In it, we discuss the struggles and triumphs of
EnlightenNext's living experiment in conscious evolution
and I think you'll find it both fascinating and
instructive.
